    Museo della Corte, Frazione Ca' Cappello 18, 45014 Porto Viro (RO), tel. 0426 372202. The museum is housed in a seventeenth-century complex, the Corte dei Cappello, and its ethnographic section features a reconstruction of some typical settings of Polesine farming life.

  • Regional Reclamation Museum

    Museo Regionale della Bonifica, Ca' Vendramin di Taglio di Po (RO), tel. 0426/81219. The museum was built in the former water-scooping plant, abandoned towards the end of the 1960s, with the aim of handing down the action carried out by the reclamation activity in draining swamps and marshes and in keeping livable areas in a continuous balance between land and water, allowing the coexistence of environmental conservation with the indispensable economic development of the people of the Delta.

  • Septem Maria Museum

    Septem Maria Museum, Idrovora Amolara - Adria (Ro), tel. 0425/21530. The museum was inaugurated on 21 November 1998. It is located on the outskirts of Adria, on the site of one of the richest Etruscan necropolises on the other side of the Po. The museum is housed in the engine room of the nineteenth-century Amolara water-scooping machine and illustrates the history of the water civilisation in the Polesine, a long and interesting journey that allows us to reconstruct the complex environmental and settlement evolution of the Polesine territory from the protohistoric age to the contemporary age.

  • Museum of civilisation and work in Polesine

    Museo della civiltà e del lavoro in Polesine, via Riviera Scolo, 11, Fratta Polesine (RO), tel. 0425 668090. The museum is housed in the 16th century palace owned by the Dolfin family and currently belonging to the Cultural and Research Group "il Manegium". The museum is made up of various sections: a historical-photographic documentary presentation on the local Carboneria and Giacomo Matteotti, an exhibition of late Renaissance ceramics and an ethnographic section where the daily life of Polesine is recalled.

  • Crespino Water Museum

    Museo delle Acque di Crespino, Piazza Fetonte, 35, Crespino (RO), tel. 0425 21530. Inaugurated in 2004, through a series of exhibits, the museum tells the story of how daily activities were carried out along the waterways, from fishing to work in the floating mills, from prevention during periods of river flooding to reconstruction after the 1951 flood.

  • Ethnographic Museum

    Museo Civico Etnografico, Via Otello Renato Pighin 1, Stanghella PD, tel. 042595670. The museum was founded in 1980 by the Bassa Padovana Group, directed by Prof. Camillo Corrain. The three-storey layout documents the settlement history of the Euganean Hills.

  • Rubano Ethnographic Park

    Parco Etnografico di Rubano, Via Valli 2, Rubano PD, tel. 049 633595. The Park's casone (large house) incorporates the characteristic structural elements of these rural dwellings, which were typical of Veneto peasants with low economic possibilities. It is a place to observe, a place for educational activities for schools, a place to recover and rediscover traditional peasant life.

    Bacchiglione River Museum, Via Castello di San Martino, Cervarese San Croce (PD). An exhibition has been set up inside the Castle of San Martino della Vaneza where visitors can learn about the fascinating history of the people who inhabited the floodplain, while enjoying the spectacle of the surrounding nature.

The Museum offers a journey through the ancient world of river transport and provides an insight into the fascinating history and culture of the "barcari" civilisation.

  • Museum of Rural Life

    Museo della Civiltà Contadina, Via Camaldoli 4, Carceri PD, tel. 042961977. The Abbey of Santa Maria delle Carceri is home to one of the richest and most significant ethnographic museums, offering a complete overview of the customs and traditions of the rural world, through an exhibition that covers the working of the land from sowing to harvesting to the stables and the cults associated with it.

  • Scodosia Civic Ethnographic Museum

    Scodosia Civic Ethnographic Museum, Via Altaura, Casale di Scodosia PD, tel. 0429878360-0429878361. Set up in the summer residence of the Venetian Correr nobles, it displays the equipment once used by the inhabitants of the area: the farrier's, carpenter's, shoemaker's and the first agricultural machines. To recreate the atmosphere of the old farmhouses, the most characteristic rooms have been reconstructed.

  • Museum of Fishing and Lake Traditions

    Museo Della Pesca e delle Tradizioni Lacustri, Caserma d'Artiglieria di Porta Verona, Via Parco Catullo, 4, Peschiera del Garda (VR), tel. 338 273 4508. Through relics of old boats, including a typical "anguilara", rare and sometimes unique pieces of equipment and materials, beautiful period pictures with captions and information, the museum tells the story of Garda fishing tradition and culture in Peschiera del Garda, one of the fishing capitals of the lake.

  • Fishermen's Museum

    Museo Dei Pescatori, via IV novembre 29\L, Limone sul Garda (BS), tel. 0365 918987. The museum has a collection of objects, photos, and various materials related to the traditional fishing trade linked to the lake, all generously donated by family members of former fishermen and by the fishermen of the Association.
